Quite the character…
Usually I get big, toothy grins, but on this particular day, his mood was more serious…
And when we’re not sure what something is, we first begin with a taste test…
These images were taken from my “Project 365″ — I’ve actually kept up with it so far and snapped one (or more) pictures every day!
Will I make it the whole month?
My ode to superheroes continues…
Yesterday, we were celebrating with Superwoman — today, it’s Superman
Happy Birthday to my wonderful, awesome, supportive, loving, amazing husband!
You are a terrific father and my best friend — and you always make me laugh no matter how flustered I get.
I LOVE YOU!!!
Here he is with the big kids and his mom — having so much fun in the snow!
And, one last pic — here is Steven, again so excited about the snow — about to get pounded with a snowball from his brother (bottom left)
I was distracting him with the camera!
Honey, I hope this birthday has been a fun one
Happy Birthday, Superwoman!
My mom is no doubt a super hero to me — she always steps in at just the right moment and saves the day! I am so, so thankful to have her in my life — and I am even more thankful to have her as my business partner. Not only does she help keep me sane with three little monsters loves running around, she is a wonderful photographer! I LOVE YOU, MOM!
Here is a quick pic of me, my mom, and Emma about a year ago — I was pregnant with Lucas and we were having a girls’ day out!
And one of my mom, sister, and nephew!
He redeemed himself…
The last movie my husband and I went to see together was Transformers II. Wow — I don’t think I’ve ever been offended on so many different levels. Needless to say, my confidence in Steven’s movie-picking skills was shaken. So when he suggested we go see the new Star Trek movie, I kept putting him off…and I put him off so much that it’s now out on DVD! Well, when the last of our family headed home this past weekend after a fun holiday visit, we needed a little pick-me-up. And I was in the mood to be daring…so off Steven went to Blockbuster — and for the past two nights (once the kids finally went to bed), we enjoyed a really good movie! I give the new Star Trek two thumbs up! Of course, there were a couple of crude remarks that I could’ve done without, but unfortunately, that’s pretty much standard these days!
In other news, I have been keeping up with two of my New Year’s Resolutions — daily journaling and picture-taking! I think the key to this is that I have put NO restrictions on these activities…the journal entry doesn’t have to be novel-worthy and the photo doesn’t have to be a work of art. It just has to be real life. That’s what I’m really focused on capturing these days!
Here’s the image for January 1st…it’s Steven’s idea of perfection: chocolate chip-blueberry pancakes (prepared by my mom!)
A promise…
We started talking about it months ago, and today, it finally happened! Emma hosted her first cookie party

We had lots of sweets…

…lots of smiles…

…and lots of snow!

(That’s my sister and my nephew!)
What a perfect day!
Can you believe it?
A white Christmas!!!

Here are a couple of our Christmas morning snapshots…

Hope you are having a wonderful holiday!
Edited to add a snowman snapshot, per my husband’s request
