A dream come true…

He loves fire trucks, trains, bulldozers — and everything that GOES!

So imagine his delight when an actual real life fire truck visited our neighborhood a few weeks ago…

He didn’t ever want to leave!

Love you, Luke!

steven perhaps Luke will be a fireman?…a little dangerous though…not sure mom would go for it…or dad for that matter

10 years ago today…

I married my best friend!

And, luckily, I still feel the exact same way about him — except maybe I love him a little more because he remembers to take out the trash every Friday morning and bring me the ads on Sunday from his paper.  He doesn’t get mad at me (very often) and never holds a grudge.  He knows that I love hot chocolate and flowers and cookie cakes…

Speaking of which, boy is he good!

Have a great weekend!

Alana Hi Claire,

So good to hear from you! Happy belated anniversary to you :-)

I really loved my wedding, but now that I have seen so many different ones, there are a lot of things that I probably would have done differently! Maybe I’ll get to have a renewal at our 15 year anniversary — that’s my hope!!! Ha!

Hope you are doing great!

P.S. Our cookie cake was gone in less than 3 days!!!

Marla Happy 10 year anniversary Lan!!!So happy for you guys-what a beautiful family you have made over the years! It was so good to see you a few weeks back! Love lots!

Always a Kid at Heart…

This weekend, Steven and I got a chance to go see Thor in 3D.  I have to admit — I was pleasantly surprised.  In my opinion, it was a pretty good movie — good special effects, good plot, and even a little romance!  We had a good time!

It is always fun to go to the movies…you get to be a kid again and escape into another world for a little while.  Speaking of big kids, I’m not sure who was more excited when the Nintendo 3Ds came out, my kids or my husband and brother-in-law.  Every time I look up, this is what I see (even when we are on a walk!)…

Happy Monday!

May 26, 2011 - 9:05 am

alisha I know this comment has nothing to do with the picture, but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Still my toughest clients…

No matter how hard I try, this set of cuties remains my hardest group of clients — especially one of them.

See if you can guess which one!

Here, his head is peaking out from behind the rest of the crew…

Here, he’s making a mad dash — a little too quick even for his dad!

And here, he is already trying to make a break again…

At least he keeps it interesting:-)

Hope you all had a blessed Easter holiday!

How are you guys doing?

April 27, 2011 - 10:31 am

alisha THEY’RE SOOOO CUTE…but not in the moment when you’re trying to get them to sit still!! We had so much fun with you guys! Can’t wait to see you in a few weeks!! We love you lots!

Yes — I mean, no!

It feels like I am one big contradiction!  As much as I look forward to “me time”, as soon as I am alone, I start thinking: boy, this house is quiet; I wonder what the kids are doing; are they having fun; do they miss me?  I mean, come on, woman!  Just enjoy your alone time.  But it’s not that easy.  It’s like being so excited for Lucas to get bigger and start sleeping through the night and getting potty trained — and then missing having a little baby around.  No matter what happens, it feels like I have a little tug to go the other way — is that just how life is?   Are any of you like that?  I guess even the weather is a contradiction — yesterday, it was sunny and hot — and then I wake up this morning and find this in my back yard:

Luckily, our flowers all survived the storm…

Have a great weekend!

Vicki Incredible! The hail… I can’t believe the flowers survived! They are beautiful!

April 16, 2011 - 1:01 pm

Vicki Oh, I forgot to add… yes, Lan… that’s the way life is!
